Welcome to the Horsforth Childminding Group’s webpage.

We are a warm and enthusiastic group of around 30 Ofsted-registered childminders working in the Horsforth and surrounding areas. Alll childminders in our group are inspected regularly by Ofsted, they are DBS checked and hold full public liability insurance. We hold Paediatric first aid certificates and attend refresher training regularly, and work to strict regulations concerning the Safeguarding of children.

We provide full and part time care, before and after school cover, short term and long term care, and unsocial hours and weekend cover.

Our members offer home from home care (our premises are assessed for safety and suitability as part of our Ofsted inspection) on a one-to-one or small group basis (we look after no more than six children under the age of eight). This means that we are closely attuned to the needs, interests and enthusiasms of each child in our care. It also give us the flexibility to easily adjust our activities to take account of changes in the weather, interesting local events or spontaneous trips out to develop plans and projects. Most of our childminders are parents themselves, with years of experience to draw on and strong links to the local schools and community – and, because our children can often stay with us until long after they have started school, they benefit from the familiarity and security that being in such a close and longstanding relationship can bring.
